What’s new in 7.2.14?

  • Smart Cue has been added.
  • DJs can now edit Spotify playlists from rekordbox.
  • The duplicated file workflow has been improved with a visible Status column on the Select Representative File screen.
  • Fixes address analysis issues, SoundCloud audio cutouts, TIDAL grid display problems, and other stability items.

The 7.2.12 USB export issue is now resolved

rekordbox version 7.2.13, released on March 31, 2026, fixed the USB export issue that occurred in rekordbox 7.2.12. AlphaTheta previously warned that in some cases, tracks exported to USB from 7.2.12 might not load correctly on AlphaTheta and Pioneer DJ hardware.

Beatsource users: note the migration messaging

The 7.2.13 notes also mention support for Beatsource integration with Beatport and point Beatsource users toward migration information. For DJs who rely on streaming libraries, this is another reminder to keep an offline backup plan and regularly confirm that playlists, cue points, and grids still behave as expected after service changes.

DJ.Software update checklist

  • Back up your rekordbox database before installing any update.
  • Re-export one test USB and load it on the actual hardware you use.
  • Check waveform previews, cue points, grid alignment, and streaming tracks.
  • Do not update right before a gig unless you have a tested rollback plan.

DJ.Software takeaway

rekordbox 7.2.14 looks like a solid quality-of-life release, especially for DJs who use Spotify playlist workflows. But the recent USB export incident shows why professional DJs should treat every library update as mission-critical: test first, perform second.
