VirtualDJ 9482 Tightens Gig Fixes
VirtualDJ’s Latest Build Is A Practical Gig Patch
VirtualDJ has pushed build 9482, dated June 29, 2026, and this is exactly the kind of update mobile, open-format, karaoke, and controller-flex DJs should read before the weekend. It is not a flashy headline release like VirtualDJ 2026 Part 2, but it cleans up several workflows that can matter in real booths.
The official VirtualDJ changelog lists a broad set of fixes and improvements, including CDJ export, Deezer playlist handling, Allen & Heath Xone:24C audio setup, karaoke/lyrics behavior, OS2L, VDJScript, Track Cleaner, and waveform accuracy.
What DJs Should Notice First
- CDJ Export fix: VirtualDJ says it fixed CDJ Export being limited to one synced folder. For DJs using VirtualDJ as a library prep tool for Pioneer DJ/AlphaTheta-style USB workflows, this is a meaningful quality-of-life fix.
- Deezer playlists over 1,000 songs: Loading very large Deezer playlists is fixed, which matters for mobile DJs and request-heavy sets where massive streaming crates are common.
- Xone:24C audio setup: The build fixes Xone:24C audio setup, useful for DJs pairing VirtualDJ with Allen & Heath’s compact club-style mixer.
- Karaoke and lyrics fixes: RTL support arrives in the Karaoke plugin, and VirtualDJ fixes cases involving karaoke and lyrics plugins on individual decks instead of master.
- Track Cleaner improvements: The changelog mentions multiple Track Cleaner improvements, which should help DJs who rely on quick edits, clean versions, and custom arrangement prep inside VirtualDJ.
Why This Update Matters
VirtualDJ’s strength has always been its breadth: audio, video, karaoke, streaming, controller support, CDJ export, scripting, automix, stems, and utility-style prep workflows all live in the same app. The tradeoff is that a minor build can contain fixes for wildly different DJ types. Build 9482 is a good example.
If you play bar video sets, weddings, karaoke nights, or hybrid USB/software gigs, this is worth testing on a non-critical machine. The CDJ export and Deezer fixes are especially relevant because they affect the moment between preparation and performance: the moment where DJs need the library to behave exactly as expected.
Update Advice
As always, do not update your main show laptop ten minutes before doors. Install the build, duplicate a real gig playlist, test your controller or mixer, export a USB if you use CDJ Export, and confirm your streaming playlists load correctly. If everything checks out, this looks like a sensible maintenance update for VirtualDJ 2026 users.
