AlphaTheta Clears Tahoe 26 Testing

AlphaTheta’s Apple OS checks are now complete

AlphaTheta has posted fresh compatibility notices for macOS Tahoe 26, iOS 26, and iPadOS 26. The headline for Mac users is simple: AlphaTheta says its compatibility check of software and hardware products has been completed for macOS Tahoe 26.

That matters because rekordbox users are rarely dealing with “just an app.” A typical booth or mobile rig may include rekordbox, drivers, firmware, USB export workflows, HID control, audio interfaces, DJM-REC, mobile library sync, and controller-specific behavior. A completed compatibility check does not mean every DJ should update five minutes before a booking, but it does move Tahoe 26 from “wait and watch” into “test your own rig carefully.”

Mobile apps are part of the same story

AlphaTheta’s iOS 26 notice lists rekordbox, DJM-REC, and WeDJ for iPhone as verification complete, while also warning that full functionality is not guaranteed and that some model support can be partially unavailable. The iPadOS 26 notice similarly lists Stagehand, rekordbox, DJM-REC, RMX-1000 for iPad, and WeDJ for iPad as verification complete, with the same practical caveat: use the latest firmware and software.

For DJs who prep on a phone or tablet, this is more than a convenience update. rekordbox mobile workflows are increasingly tied into last-minute cue editing, playlist changes, and on-the-go library management. If your main Mac stays on an older OS but your iPhone auto-updates, you can still create a mismatch in the wider prep chain.

Our upgrade advice for working DJs

  • Do not update on show day. Even with official verification, test your exact controller, mixer, audio routing, and streaming login first.
  • Update firmware and drivers before judging compatibility. AlphaTheta explicitly points users toward the latest firmware and software.
  • Test USB export and import paths. A rekordbox system is only gig-ready if exported media loads correctly on the target CDJ/XDJ hardware.
  • Keep one known-good boot drive or laptop image. If Tahoe 26 is your test environment, your backup machine should remain on the OS you already trust.

The takeaway: AlphaTheta’s June 23 notices are good news for Apple users, but the professional move is still controlled testing. Treat OS compatibility as permission to rehearse the upgrade, not as a reason to update the laptop in the green room.
